Brave

Brave are those who can cry

Not those who hide

Brave are those who are kind

Even the world is rude

Brave are those who feel

When the world is busy getting numb

Brave are those who confront themselves

When others are running away
Brave are those who accept their demons

Not those who deny they ever existed

Brave are those who know when to go silent

Not those who are always loud
Brave are those who tattoo their scars

Instead of covering them with long sleeves

Brave are those who dare to talk about it

Not those who shush
Brave are those who say no

When they mean no

Brave are those who dive deep

Not those who step on the surface
Brave are those who step out of the box of mundane

Not those who stick to it, even if they are suffocated

Brave are those who dream

Not those who just sleep

Brave are those who don’t want attention

But those who want to be remembered
