The Sea Changes

I vanished into thin air
And nobody made a single sound
They were afraid to jinx it
No words came around

Silently they became happy
Acting as if I never was
There was work and weekends
This ignorance deserves an applause

In my presence, they praised me
Said I brought them warmth
In my absence, it was someone else
What a total reform!

They took advantage of me
Spent their times by the bonfire
Made promises of missing me
Oh! What liars!

Quietly I went away
Leaving no footprints
I will come back again
And they will act like I was all that existed!
